So, this is something I've been wanting to share with you guys forever now. I. . .am in love. . .with SHINee. They're the most amazing K-Pop band ever. I'm a total Taemint. And K-Dramas have officially become my fishy crackers. .___.
Now, don't get me wrong, HYDE from L'Arc~En~Ciel will always be my number one celebrity crush, for his diversified style, lyrics, honey voice, and, of course, for getting me into J-Rock in the first place. However, SHINee's Lee Taemin is running on a close second. I am steadily becoming a Shawol. o_o!
I've been wanting to draw this picture forever, since even before Alice's commission, but I was unable to. I needed to finish other requests, or I didn't have time, et cetera, et cetera. But, man. Taemin sitting there for so long in my WIP folder made me want to cry.
So, last night, I couldn't get to sleep, and I needed to draw. I had all of my other things on my to-do list done, so what better than to finish Taemin? Because now I have a few requests coming in, and will need to start on those; it'd be awhile before I got another chance to draw him, so I am SO relieved I got it done. -nodnod-
While drawing this, I listened to his song "U" from the soundtrack from the K-Drama, "To The Beautiful You." I want to watch that show to see if Minho can act, but methinks I should read the original Japanese Manga first. o w o
ANYWAYS! I was surprised to find that drawing his skin and shirt didn't take me long at all. However, I totally underestimated dat Sherlock hair. Not that I'm complaining—I love him with extensions. But it did take me quite awhile longer to fill in than what I had first anticipated. o . o!

Here is the picture I used for a reference, which I just made black and white. It's funny, I didn't even realize Onew in the background when I first saved this picture all those weeks ago. Sorry, MVP's. Molhaedo Onew Sangtae.
Any-who, here is my first SHINee fan art. I feel very satisfied at this time. -wipes tears- It's been a good run! < 3 I am, however, sorry to say that my scanner really betrayed me on this one. -sigh- Still! I'm happy to share it with you guys, even though the quality is terrible~
On this piece, I used a mechanical, HB and 2B pencils, a colourless Prismacolor blending pencil, two Copic sketch markers, Q-tips (for blending) and watercolour paints.
